David Clarke
David Clarke has over 30 years’ experience as an architect, working across scales – from bespoke houses to billion dollar infrastructure projects; and sectors – including education, health, industrial, institutional and residential. He has worked with some of Australia’s leading design practices (Daryl Jackson, Woods Bagot) and for more than half his career has owned and managed his own businesses.
David brings a deep understanding of the industry that spans design, management, policy, construction, sustainability and advocacy. He was heavily involved in the Australian Institute of Architects engagement in Safety in Design legislation development and more recently in the NSW Building and Design Practitioners Act. He is an active member of the Materials Embodied Carbon Leaders Alliance (MECLA), a strong voice for a low carbon building future and an advocate for design that values and integrates community and indigenous voices.
